Healthcare AI consulting
that ends in software, not a slide deck.
Every clinic has heard an AI pitch by now. Few have a feature in production. HighCraft does healthcare AI consulting with a senior engineering team: we pick the use case that pays back first, clear it against HIPAA, and ship it into the workflow your clinicians already run.
The consultation is free and you talk to a senior engineer, not a salesperson. NDA on request.
“They were absolutely phenomenal. The team put in a lot of work to break down what was required of the project and gave an excellent presentation on the process. I highly recommend them and will be working with them again in the future.”

Who you work with
The team that shipped AI a clinician actually opens
HighCraft is a software company run from Kyiv, Ukraine: a team of six that took its first Upwork job in October 2023 and earned Top Rated and a 100 percent Job Success Score one delivery at a time. We consult the way we build, with the engineers in the room from the first call.
On a HIPAA-aligned EMR we built for a healthcare wellness platform, the AI-assisted intake we shipped reads a patient’s lab PDFs and turns them into plain language a provider can use during the visit. We held it to one test: would a clinician actually open it, or is it a demo feature. It passed, and that test now starts every consulting engagement we take.

engineers, no handoffs
The first question on every healthcare AI call: can we use patient data at all? Yes, with the right boundaries. We design AI features so protected health information stays inside your HIPAA perimeter, de-identify what has to leave it, and keep a clinician between the model and any decision, in line with guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

AI Prototype Sprint
Validate the workflow before you fund the platform.
A four-week sprint that turns a complex workflow into a clickable prototype, architecture direction, and a build estimate you can act on.
- Clickable prototype
- Workflow map
- Architecture recommendation
- AI opportunity and risk assessment
- Delivery roadmap
- Fixed or phased build estimate
Four weeks, one fixed scope. You own everything we build, whether or not you continue.
Week 1
Discover the real workflow
Week 2
Build the spine
Week 3
AI where it pays back
Week 4
Prototype + estimate
Engagement models
Four ways to engage, and a low-risk way to start
We fit the model to the project and the risk, not to our invoice. Most clients start with a four-week discovery sprint that turns the idea into a working prototype and a real estimate, then move into whichever model fits the build.
Time and materials
You pay for the hours you use, billed weekly or monthly. The right call when scope is still moving and you want to steer as you go.
Dedicated team
A senior team embedded with yours and billed monthly, scaling up or down as the roadmap changes. Built for ongoing work, not a one-off.
Fixed price
Agreed scope, agreed price, agreed date. Works when the requirements are already clear and you want certainty before you sign.
Fixed milestones
Phased delivery, paid one milestone at a time. A way to take on a larger build and de-risk it stage by stage.
What clients say
Clients trust us with messy, real-world software
From regulated healthcare workflows to payment-heavy platforms and internal business systems, the common thread is delivery that survives production.
They demonstrated their dedication to our project from the beginning, and I am pleased with the final result. For anyone looking to develop a software product that requires meticulous attention to detail and regulatory compliance, HighCraft.io is the partner you need.

What we do
Three ways we turn complex workflows into working software
Start with a prototype, add AI where it creates leverage, or build the full production platform.
Working prototypes
A clickable prototype built around the real edge cases, so you can validate scope before funding a full build. The cheapest way to find the edge case nobody mentioned.
AI-enabled features
AI inside the product you already run: intake, search, summarization, classification, recommendations, or workflow assistance, with evaluation and guardrails. Built so a real user opens it twice.
Production platforms
Custom platforms built for real users: integrations, permissions, billing, audit trails, and maintenance. HIPAA-aware where it has to be.
Related services
Part of the same healthcare build
If your project touches more than one of these, one team covers them.
Selected work
Software that works, in production
Our clients get to focus on their business, instead of babysitting the stack that holds it together. Client cases below are anonymized. Our own products are not: they ship under their names.

How we build
How we build AI workflows that stay controllable
Agentic does not have to mean opaque. We put the controls where the risk is: permissions, approvals, and audit around every AI-assisted step.
Frontend
The product your users and staff actually work in.
API
Typed contracts and validation at the boundary.
Workflow engine
The deterministic spine: states, rules, and handoffs.
Agentic workflow layer
Inspects context, suggests next steps, and triggers tools, with human approval where it matters.
AI / LLM services
Models behind evaluation and fallback logic, not raw and unchecked output.
Integrations
EMR, Stripe, CRM, scheduling, and internal APIs.
Audit, monitoring, permissions
Every AI-assisted step logged, observable, and role-gated.
Controls, not black boxes
- Human approval for sensitive actions
- Tool calls scoped by permissions
- Audit logs for every AI-assisted step
- Evaluation and fallback logic, not raw model output
- Role-based access throughout
- Observability in production
- Integration with EMR, Stripe, CRM, scheduling, or internal APIs
FAQ
Healthcare AI consulting, asked and answered
What buyers ask before they start.
Most engagements here start with an AI Prototype Sprint or a scoped production build.
What does healthcare AI consulting actually cover?
Three things: picking the use case with a real payback, checking it against HIPAA and your data reality, and a build plan with a number on it. We do the engineering too, so the advice has to survive contact with production. Consultants who never ship can promise anything.
How much does healthcare AI consulting cost?
The first consultation is free, runs about an hour with an engineer, and ends with a written read on whether the project is worth doing. If it is, a scoped estimate follows, usually within 3 to 5 business days, under whichever engagement model fits: hourly, dedicated team, fixed price, or milestones.
Can we use AI on patient data without breaking HIPAA?
Yes, if the architecture respects the boundary. Protected health information stays inside your covered environment, prompts are de-identified wherever data must leave it, and business associate agreements cover every vendor in the chain. We built this way on a production EMR, so the answer comes from delivery, not from a whitepaper.
Which AI use cases pay off first in a clinic?
The unglamorous ones. Intake summarization, lab-result explanation, documentation drafting, and routing beat diagnostic moonshots on payback every time. Start where your staff lose hours every day and the model assists a human instead of replacing one.
Do we need an AI readiness assessment first?
A short one, yes. Before any build we check where your data lives, how clean it is, what your EHR exposes, and who has to sign off. That readiness assessment is the first deliverable of the consultation, not a separate six-week project.
Will this work with the EHR we already run?
Usually. If your EHR exposes FHIR or HL7 interfaces, we integrate with what you have rather than proposing a replacement. When it exposes nothing, we say so early and price the workaround honestly.
When are you not the right fit?
Plenty of healthcare AI projects should not happen, and we say so on the free call. If the workflow runs fine without a model, or an off-the-shelf ambient scribe already covers it, you keep your budget and we part as friends. We are also the wrong call if the deliverable is something to read out at a board meeting. We consult to ship.

Tell us about your project
Send the shape of the problem, even if the requirements are still blurry. We reply with a scoped estimate, usually within 3 to 5 business days. No obligation, NDA on request.
- A senior engineer reads every brief, not a sales rep.
- If an off-the-shelf tool fits better, we will tell you.
- NDA on request before you share anything sensitive.
